摘要: International regimes have been a major focus of research in international relations for over decade. Three schools thought shaped the discussion: realism, which treats power as its key variable; neoliberalism, bases analysis on constellations interests; and cognitivism, emphasizes knowledge dynamics, communication, identities. Each school articulates distinct views origins, robustness, consequences regimes. This book examines each these contributions to debate, taking stock of, seeking advance, one most dynamic agendas contemporary relations. While differences between realist, neoliberal cognitivist arguments about are acknowledged explored, authors argue that there is substantial scope progress toward an inter-paradigmatic synthesis.
