摘要: The forced reeling of silkworms offers the potential to produce a spectrum silk filaments, spun from natural dope and subjected carefully controlled applied processing conditions. Here we demonstrate that envelope stress–strain properties for reeled silks can encompass both naturally cocoon unnaturally processed artificial filaments. We use dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) quantify structural these silks. Using this well-established spectroscopic technique, show high variation in associated degree disordered hydrogen-bonded structures Furthermore, disorder be manipulated by range conditions even ameliorated under certain parameters, such as annealing heat load. conclude powerful combination DMTA has tied together native/natural synthetic/unnatural extrusion spinning. presented techniques therefore have ability define Bombyx-derived proteins fibre-based applications serve roadmap improve fibre quality via post-processing.
