摘要: Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections are a frequent cause of morbidity and mortality in hospitalized patients. Treatment these is complicated by the intrinsic acquired resistance this bacterium to many commonly used antimicrobial agents. In article, Drs Hauser Sriram argue that careful consideration mechanisms which P. resists activity agents essential for optimal treatment decisions. Although aspects severe remain controversial, authors suggest specific options patients both before after susceptibilities known.
