摘要: Acetylene oligomerization with an activated iron bis(imino)pyridine complex low steric hindrance leads to benzene as the major product, in contrast this reaction a more sterically encumbered analogue, which polyacetylene. The mechanism of formation was studied and likely occurs via metallacycle intermediates; process can be interrupted by addition ZnEt2 chain transfer agent generate hexadiene instead.
