摘要: Precision makeup at high speed of the most used forms pipe and casing for production wells is assured by a novel coupling system. A collar provided with an internal precision ring whose length along axis assures precise positioning engagement. When nose engaged metal-to-metal contact against reference shoulder on side surface end engages center seal disposed in wall between threaded portion. This constitutes effective barrier leakage pressures into thread engagement region. End seals are mounted grooves recess portions collar, outside region, to provide external pressure, which can also vent that excess predetermined threshold. With this arrangement, modified standard or manufactured be placed off drill rig floor, axial being selected assure tightness adjusted particular stress conditions. Makeup floor requires only stabbing next section until achieved concurrently established. Pipes collars readily prescreened eliminate minor proportion elements tapers vary more than permissible given Fig
