摘要: A general survey of excited states even-even nuclei yields the following results: The $n\mathrm{th}$ state has usually a spin $I\ensuremath{\le}2n$. For $n=1$, assignment $I=2+(\mathrm{even}\mathrm{parity})$ is compatible with experimental results for 66 out 68 investigated. $n=2$, 26 investigated, about one-third have $I=2+$, $I=4+$, and miscellaneous spins both even odd parities. energy first plotted against number protons or neutrons in nucleus varies rather smoothly reaches maxima at closed shells. Wherever very low, e.g., rare earths region heavy elements from thorium up, one-particle model $A$ likely to break down except ground state. lack isomers proton below magic 82 may be due this fact. average core order 0.1 Mev, whereas 0.5 Mev corresponding neutron ($Nl82$).
