摘要: This manuscript is used to examine food demand structure and its dynamics for 11 commodities in urban China. The analysis based on household-level expenditure survey data two cross-sectional surveys of Chinese households pertaining patterns during 1995 2003. A major focus this presentation the pre-committed component that not accounted by economic demographic characteristics. We use generalized quadratic almost ideal system (GQAIDS) empirical superiority GAIDS, estimate associated parameters via a full information maximum likelihood procedure (FIML) procedure, where we test whether total home consumption (FAH) endogenous. also quality adjusted commodity unit values account differences resulting from aggregation choice. find FAH surveyed has changed majority included analysis. more than third vegetables consumed were due demand, while no traditional staple had positive significant With changing may be indicative an increased desire flexibility diet.
