摘要: OBJECTIVE —To review the published literature and perform a meta-analysis summarizing evidence in support of an inverse association between type 1 diabetes atopic disorders: asthma, eczema, allergic rhinitis children. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS —MEDLINE, Web Science, PubMed were searched to identify relevant studies. These assessed on quality criteria, odds ratios (ORs) 95% CIs calculated for each study from reported prevalences atopy children with control Meta-analysis was then used derive combined OR test heterogeneity findings RESULTS —Twenty-five studies identified. Heterogeneity different evident but considerably reduced when asthma analyses restricted those judged be adequate design. The revealed diabetes, finding only attained significance analysis design (OR 0.82, CI 0.68–0.99). In this subset similar magnitude observed eczema (0.82, 0.62–1.10) although failed attain statistical significance, still present. There little (0.97, 0.82–1.16) CONCLUSIONS —Our suggests that there is small significant reduction prevalence other diseases are less conclusive.
