摘要: Aflatoxicosis represents one of the serous diseases poultry, livestock and other animals. The cause this disease in poultry food-producting animals has been attributed to ingestion various feeds contaminated with A. flavus. This toxigenic fungus is known produce a group extremely toxic metabolites, which aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) most potent. Avian species especially chickes, goslings, ducklings turkey poults are susceptible AFB1 toxicity. effects mainly localized liver as manifested by hepatic necrosis, bile duct proliferation, icterus hemorrhage. Chronic toxicity those birds characterized loss weight, decline feed efficiency, drop egg production increased susceptibility infections. incidence hepatocellular tumors, particularly ducklings, considered be serious consequences aflatoxicosis. Even though prevention avoidanve best way control aflatoxicosis, natural contamination crops flavus sometimes unavoidable. Such aflatoxin-contaminated can decontaminated using methods focus on physical removal or chemical inactivation toxins feeds. Moreover, dietary additives such activated charcoal, phenobarbital, cysteine, glutathione, betacarotene, fisetin selenium have also reported effective reduction aflatoxicosis poultry.
