摘要: Groundwater-surface water interactions drive quality in both streams and the coastal ocean, where groundwater discharge occurs as baseflow along coastline submarine (SGD). Groundwater contributions to ocean were quantified three urban Kāneʻohe Watershed, Hawaiʻi. We used radon a tracer show that ranged from 22 68% their reaches leading coast of Bay. Total SGD was 4,500, 18,000, 23,000 m3/day for northwest, central, southern sectors bay, respectively. (stream + SGD) dissolved nutrient fluxes significantly greater than those sourced stream surface runoff. The studied exhibited increasing levels downstream inputs with high concentrations, negatively impacting quality. dynamics also assessed during anomalously perigean spring tides 2017, four times tide compared resulted strong shifts N:P ratios, suggesting rising sea level stands may disrupt primary productivity frequency. This study demonstrates importance considering budgets suggests be improved through management reduction contaminants.
