摘要: Testosterone and 5 α-dihydrotestosterone normally induce alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) production in the mouse kidney. The following results suggest that X-linked testicular feminization (T fm) mutation is a non-inducible of repressive regulatory gene locus. Eleven affected XTfmY mice 3 XTfm X+ heterozygous females, as well their normal sibs, were challenged with 10 mg either testosterone or 5α-dihydrotestosterone killed days later. Kidney ADH sibs fully induced state, while no detectable kidney activity was found XTemY. In accordance X-inactivation hypothesis, individual kidneys females showed extremely variable degrees inducibility ADH.
