摘要: Object This study was focused on the development of models with which to predict occurrence intracranial edema after Gamma Knife surgery (GKS) meningiomas, based clinical and imaging data collected in a large group patients. Methods Data 368 patients 381 meningiomas treated using Leksell unit were analyzed. Follow up more than 24 months available 331 (90%); this time period ranged from 120 (median 51 months). The actuarial tumor control rate 97.9% at 5 years. Perilesional GKS radiologically confirmed (15.4%) 32 them (9.7%) symptomatic; symptoms temporary 23 (6.9%) permanent nine (2.7%). Ten different factors proposed as potential predictors for GKS: patient's sex, age, previous surgery, before treatment, lobulated margin meningioma, heterogeneous appearance tumor, volume, location,...
