Island and Mainland Pollination Ecology of Centrosema Virginianum and Opuntia Stricta

摘要: (1) In 1981 and 1982, male female reproductive success of mainland nearand distant-island populations Centrosema virginianum Opuntia stricta growing on two island one beach communities the western coast Florida were compared. (2) Pollen dispersal to neighbouring plants (which was used as an estimate success) significantly reduced in both relative population. lower at far than near island. (4) Field experiments indicated significant pollinator limitation for 1981, but 1982. On 1983, there no difference number naturally-pollinated hand-crossed flowers.
