摘要: The relationship between apolipoprotein (apo) E and vascular disease has been the subject of a considerable amount research. However, this is far from clearly defined. This deficiency appears to be due multitude factors. Among these are differences in ethnicity, age (and possibly gender), diagnostic criteria, environmental factors (eg, diet smoking) that have contributed contradictory findings. Several diseases their treatment may also influence relationship. There documented interactions apo genotypes other genes or risk One possible clinically relevant application identifying genotype could assess response particular drug treatment. It polymorphism will become good predictor death myocardial infarction stroke) rather than an indicator developing but without acute ischemic event. More research required define place genotyping management its various forms. Whatever future brings, evaluation need rapid, cheap, technically undemanding before investigation becomes widely available relevant.
