摘要: Abstract Objective . Well-documented challenges have hampered both intervention development and research in teen smoking cessation. Addressing these challenges, the Hutchinson Study of High School Smoking (HS Study), largest group-randomized trial adolescent cessation to date, incorporates several design innovations investigate effect a counselor-initiated, individually tailored telephone counseling for older adolescents. This paper presents discusses innovative features, baseline findings on resulting study population. Method The used population-based survey proactively identify recruit all high school juniors who had smoked past month – potentially expanding reach smokers, even those less than daily not motivated quit.
