摘要: A case-study is presented comparing the Oxford–RAL retrieval of Aerosol and Cloud (ORAC) algorithm, applied to AATSR Meteosat-8 SEVIRI data, dual-view aerosol developed at TNO. The study compares data from an overpass Northern Adriatic Po Valley region on 4 September 2004, during which time there were two AERONET sunphotometer stations operating in Venice as part ADRIEX campaign. We present results a comparison optical depth determined retrievals overpass. shows that satellite consistently overestimate compared site. possible reason for this over sea inability algorithms take into account ocean colour coastal waters.
