摘要: A model of cathode spots in high-current vacuum arcs is developed with account all the potentially relevant mechanisms: bombardment surface by ions coming from a pre-existing plasma cloud; vaporization material spot, its ionization, and interaction produced cathode; Joule heat generation body; melting motion melt under effect pressure Lorentz force related phenomena. After spot has been ignited action cloud (which takes few nanoseconds), metal melted accelerated toward periphery main driving being due to incident ions. Electron emission cooling convective transfer are dominant mechanisms limiting maximum temperature approximately 4700–4800 K. crater formed on this way. plasma...
