摘要: AbstractFishing industries should, at least in theory, be governed by the same sound business management principles-foresight, long-term future planning and sustained profitability – as any other industry. But, whenever or wherever man fished Europe, salmon River Rhine, eel Lake IJssel, brown shrimps sole herring North Sea, greedy overfishing brought decline near bankruptcy to respective industries. In this interdisciplinary review, author analyses mismangement concludes that only hope is follow scientific advice: give stocks of fish a chance revive, if it not already too late.
