摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) production using microorganisms in activated sludge. PHAs are biopolyesters produced by prokaryotic microorganisms. They environment friendly, completely biodegradable thermoplastic, and from renewable resources. PHA content must be increased to minimize the cost of production. Applying different acclimatization method conditions for can increase content. To achieve higher content, a side stream reactor is beneficial; that is, process divided into two reactors: accumulating bacteria enrichment (PABER), (PPR). sludge because sludge, waste organic materials solid wastes or wastewaters recovered reused as plastics reduced. accumulated anaerobic–aerobic under both anaerobic, well aerobic conditions. The concludes compounds wastewater regarded pollutants removed water forms, such carbon dioxide
