摘要: Abstract Medications are often crushed and mixed with foods or fluids to aid drug delivery for those who cannot prefer not swallow whole tablets capsules. Dysphagic patients have the added problem of being unable safely fluids, so thickeners ensure safe swallowing. These thickened then also used deliver medications in replacement water. This thesis explores influence water co-administration on release gastric fluid, effect rheological properties these agents their contribution describing mechanism release. The literature review (Chapter 1) examines oral dosage form administration, as a means medication mechanisms It is highlighted that potential alter but prediction currently reported. Chapter 2 investigates an indicator compromise bioavailability.
