摘要: This article takes issue with the ‘no demos’ thesis about European Union. Empirically speaking, a ‘demos’ requires sense of community among citizens, on one hand, and lively public spheres in which political issues are debated, other. It is argued this article, first, that majority citizens has developed dual identities – to their nation-state Europe Europeanization national sufficient sustain carefully crafted (re-)distributive policies level.
