摘要: Background: Despite the significant role of Fat Mass and Obesity-Associated (FTO) gene in obesity, underlying mechanisms are not fully elucidated. Besides, vitamin D deficiency obesity mostly seen together, it can be hypothesized that this nutrient may have an impact FTO genotype adiposity. Objective: Thus, study aimed to investigate association rs9939609 polymorphism with eating behaviors, disorders, general mental health overweight adults, considering their intake as a mediate confounding factor. Methods: This cross-sectional was carried out on 197 adults Shiraz, Iran. Genotyping performed through amplification refractory mutation system polymerase chain reaction (ARMS PCR). Mental health, intake, behaviors disorders were assessed by validated questionnaires. Results: The risk allele (A) significantly associated higher behavior (all P < 0.05). After AA carriers had risks for poorer (P = 0.002), 0.007), 0.039) compared TT if they insufficient intake. Conclusion: In conclusion, these results indicated A-allele disorders. It also identified effect A limited people intake.
