摘要: The aim of this paper is to propose a lifetime prediction method for threaded connections. example discussed here drillstring connection used in the oil and gas industry. based on mechanical analysis performed either with finite elements or closed-form solution described companion paper, fatigue using Dang Van criterion which has been extended life domain. provides stabilized stress path life. Fatigue tests have small scale connections order validate methodology. comparisons predictions show difficulties estimate structures presenting high gradient due effects.
