摘要: In this chapter, an efficient method for rapid preliminary assessment of the seismic vulnerability reinforced concrete buildings is presented. The determines columns’ limiting shear resistance at critical storey structure, by applying a strength procedure associated with typical column details representative state practice from era building’s period construction and evaluates severity displacement demand maximum acceleration that building can sustain stiffness index assessment. For application method, only knowledge basic geometric material properties required. proposed applied verification reasons to two failed during 1999 Athens earthquake. It shown be used as diagnostic tool identification both fragility prevailing failure mechanism, allowing engineers immediately identify most vulnerable are likely collapse in potentially strong earthquake, well set objectives their rehabilitation.
