摘要: Standard partial molar volume data at 298 K for eight tetra-alkyl or -aryl ions and 13 smaller in ten solvents, including water, have been statistically related to diverse ion solvent properties. The radius cubed is the primary property determining volumes both kinds of ions, as expected. Secondary effects are due polarizability large hydrogen bonding abilities ones. modified by their polarizabilities well solubility coefficients main properties accounting ionic volumes. compressibility also explored, but dipole moment relative permittivity do not play a role.
