The Estimation of Survival in Bird Populations By Recaptures or Sightings of Marked Individuals

摘要: To estimate bird survival rates, the shortcomings of methods based on recoveries (of dead birds) make it logical to use recapture information live in specific statistical models. In this paper, basic model Cormack (1964) and some recent developments allowing equality constraints between parameters are reviewed. Applications Fulmar, Starling, Coot data presented, with emphasis selection.
