摘要: A vagrant adult male Subantarctic fur seal Arctocephalus tropicalis was observed among Antarctic seals A. gazella at Cape Shirreff, Livingston Island, Antarctica, which is located to ~4,190 and ~5,939 km from the nearest breeding colonies of seals. Although colony origin this animal reason for its movement outside distribution range are unknown, sighting shows high dispersal capacity species provides an insight into possible changes in distribution. not with females seal, news sightings future could result viable hybrid, introgressive hybridization represent a threat Shirreff population recovery, if still way go recover presailing levels.
