摘要: Host age preference by Aphidius ervi Haliday on pea aphid, Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris), and the effects of host A. reproductive fitness sex allocation were studied in laboratory. preferred aphids that 3-5 days old over younger (1 2 old) older (6 7 for oviposition. The body size egg load at emergence progenies significantly increased with increase time parasitisation from 1 to 4 old, after which no further occurred. results support size-dependent ratio theory deposits fertilised eggs large hosts unfertilised small ones. potential impact biological control is discussed.
