摘要: Iron modified bentonite (FeMB) was prepared and used as an inexpensive adsorbent to rapidly remove organic pollutant (Rhodamine B, RhB) from aqueous solution. The iron modification significantly improved the adsorption performance of FeMB for RhB permitted easy separation treated effluent. equilibrium studies indicated that dye molecules obeyed Langmuir type with calculated maximum capacity 168.13 mg g(-1) FeMB. heterogeneous photo-Fenton process operated at circumneutral pH in presence visible light irradiation found be effective regeneration spent Furthermore, efficiency high 79% still achieved after 5 consecutive adsorption-regeneration cycles. Considering that, approach could applied excellent alternative regenerating clay-based adsorbents by avoiding use dissolved salts.
