摘要: This is the first report on annual egg production patterns in mature termite colonies field. Data seasonal of field are very important for understanding colony growth schedule, resource allocation, and population dynamics termites. However, collecting eggs from a sufficient number extremely difficult Reticulitermes termites because their multiple-site nesting makes it to find reproductive center colonies. Here, we show pattern subterranean speratus by ten each month April through October. We had destructively examine dozens nests enough month. Mature began produce late May, soon after swarming season, rate (EPR) reached its maximum early July. The hatched until EPR was significantly correlated with average monthly temperature. Additional investigation distributions showed that most were kept around royal cell, which contained reproductives. largest 109 supplemental queens 94,023 eggs, suggesting queen produced an 24.7 per day, based known mean hatching period inseminated 34.95±0.12 (SE) days.
