摘要: Beta-lactam antibiotics have been discussed as options for the treatment of infections caused by multiresistant extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing bacteria if minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) is low. The objective this study was to investigate in vitro activity different beta-lactam against CTX-M-producing Escherichia coli. A total 198 isolates E. coli with ESBL phenotype were studied. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification CTX-M genes and amplicon sequencing performed. MICs amoxicillin–clavulanic acid, aztreonam, cefepime, cefotaxime, ceftazidime, ceftibuten, ertapenem, imipenem, mecillinam, meropenem, piperacillin–tazobactam, temocillin determined Etest. Susceptibility defined according breakpoints European Committee on Antimicrobial Testing (EUCAST). MIC50 MIC90 values calculated. Isolates from group 9 showed higher susceptibility tested than belonging 1. More 90% susceptible temocillin. high being 91%, regardless group. All imipenem 99% ertapenem. This shows significant differences among a difference many between groups 1 9. good other compared carbapenems indicate that clinical studies are warranted order examine potential role these ESBL-producing
