摘要: ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the antioxidant activity of extracts dried flowers Tithonia diversifolia (Hemsl) A. Gray ( T. ) dry flower-a shrubby plant belonging to Asteraceae family and very common in Brazil, providing data help prevent premature aging skin. Methods The tests phytochemical screening included total phenols, tannins, flavonoids, alkaloids saponins. active was determined by 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl method. Results revealed presence phenolic compounds (tannins, flavonoids phenols), while saponins were not detected. IC 50 values showed a strong extracts. Conclusions Therefore, this study suggests possibility using for prevention cell aging, as shown have significant activity.
