摘要: Background Brain death is the total loss of all brain and stem functions, its diagnosis often confirmed by an apnoea test, which relies on disconnecting patient from ventilator. Auto-triggering or auto-cycling defined as a ventilator being triggered in absence effort, intrinsic respiratory drive inspiratory muscle activity. Ventilator auto-triggering could delay leading to unnecessary admission for false hopes recovery family. Methods We report case associated with cardiogenic oscillations female patient. Results We finding changing patient's position reassessing triggering thresholds. Brain was then test. CONCLUSION This presented arouse awareness medical staff nurses this phenomenon, can mimic effort patients allegedly diagnosed death. Along report, we review English language publications similar cases.
