摘要: Formins are actin-organizing proteins that involved in cytokinesis and cell polarity. In the plant Arabidopsis thaliana, there more than 20 formin homologues, all of which have unknown roles. this study, we characterize specific cellular molecular functions AtFH5. Despite low identity AtFH5 to yeast mammalian formins, protein interacts with barbed end actin filaments nucleates actin-filament polymerization vitro, as is case mammals. vivo, AtFH5-GFP fusion localizes plate, a plant-specific membranous component assembled at plane division. Consistent these data, loss function atfh5 compromises seed endosperm. Furthermore, endogenous transcripts accumulate posterior pole endosperm perturbs proper morphogenesis pole. Although animals, plants occurs through morphologically distinct mechanisms, our study finds recruitment sites assembly common feature division among eukaryotes.
