Antitumor and antifungal activities in endophytic fungi isolated from pharmaceutical plants Taxus mairei, Cephalataxus fortunei and Torreya grandis

摘要: The purpose of this work was to screen the endophytic fungi having antitumor or antifungal activity, which were isolated from inner barks three kinds pharmaceutical plants, Taxus mairei, Cephalataxus fortunei and Torreya grandis, collected Fujian province, China. Antitumor activity studied by MTT assay determined observing fungal growth inhibition. 13.4% fermentation broths displayed cytotoxic on HL-60 cells at below a dilution 1:50, 6.4% KB cells. 52.3% inhibition least one pathogenic fungi, such as Neurospora sp., Trichoderma sp. Fusarium Among all isolated, genus Paecilomyces has highest positive rate activity. These results indicate that could be promising source for bioactive agents.
