摘要: OBJECTIVE To evaluate the use of SPEED-OLIGO MYCOBACTERIA (Vircell, Spain) in identifying Mycobacterium species. METHOD We examined 15 type or reference strains mycobacteria (M. tuberculosis H37Rv and 14 non-tuberculosis mycobacteria), 48 clinical isolates, 17 AFB-positive sputa by using MYCOBACTERIA, compared results with those obtained other referral methods available for species identification. RESULT yielded favorable 80.0%, 91.7%, 88.2% cases tested type/reference strains, samples, respectively. However, M. celatum, fortuitum subsp. fortuitum, marinum, isolates intermedium, szulgai were misidentified when was used. DISCUSSION can facilitate rapid identification mainly because its short turn-around time simple procedures. accuracy this method remains unsatisfactory.
