摘要: Research into the public's perception of water and river-corridor quality has been undertaken to assess importance these aspects selection sites for use in recreation. Preliminary results from two on-site questionnaire surveys involving a number river user groups suggested that: i.  Whilst there was strong association between perceived presence/absence individual water-quality variables, presence indicators ‘good’water were less likely influence than ‘bad’water quality; ii.  There an overwhelming desire trees preference vegetational diversity within ideal corridor setting; and iii.  An equally mature, sinuous rivers with natural channels banks. These suggest that is close relationship type riverscape preferred by public their recreation amenity, desired conservationists.
