摘要: Objective The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between orthostatic hypotension, cardiovascular drug intake and mortality in a very elderly community-dwelling population (>80 years age). Methods In 2013-2014, 224 (71 M, 31.7%) 80-year-old individuals from one primary care practice were invited participate. Basic clinical information gathered blood pressure (BP) measurements performed while sitting after 1 3 min standing position on 209 patients. followed till December 2016. Results Orthostatic hypotension present, depending applied definition, 34.5% at min, 38.3% min; 44.9% either or 27.8% both measurements. Sixty-nine (30.8%) died during follow-up. Presence irrespective did not have any significant association with risk all groups. Intensive hypertension treatment (more than two drugs versus none) associated longer survival. multivariate logistic regression analysis, only age presence coronary heart disease/congestive failure had negative predictive value mortality. treated untreated individuals, linked Conclusion Although is common among elderly, its related increased death (all-cause/cardiovascular). Intensively patients significantly survival time individuals.
