A Smartwatch-based User Interface for In-Vehicle Interactions

摘要: Web-based standards and technology, such as HTTP, JavaScript, WebSockets, can bring many benefits to designing engineering systems for in-vehicle infotainment (IVI). In this paper, we present the technical details of a software application interactions that features WebSocketsbased communications between driver’s smartwatch tablet installed in car runs web-based interface demonstrates representative those found IVI systems. Our implementation is based on Node.js server processes incoming data from smartwatch, e.g., list preferred songs or heart rate, delivers system.
