摘要: The degree of ‘planning’ in historical sites has been always dominated by measures geometry and has, therefore, oscillated between geometric, as ‘planned’, organic, ‘unplanned’. In this article, the spatial formation four residential districts three contemporaneous settlements, Mohenjo-Daro, Kahun Ur, is examined to show that their patterns were governed not only geometrical possibilities, but rather certain needs access visibility. article considers application Space Syntax methods provide an evidence for correspondences properties considerations each society, coming conclusion organic site Ur do necessarily refer lack planning, possibly intended meet defensive, social or climatic considerations.
