摘要: AbstractThe frozen-stress photoelastic stress analysis technique is used to obtain the mode I and II stress-intensity factors for cracks in round bars. The bars, which are subjected bending, contain inclined transverse planes of Results inclinations 45, 60, 75, 90 degress obtained. Crack depths 0.3 ×, 0.5 0.7 × diameter investigated. results normalized so that they can be applied similar shaped bars any material bending. agreement with previously published (for pure case) very good, i.e., within 3 percent. choice normalizing parameters makes factor relatively insensitive crack inclination. practically constant along fronts whereas intensity fall sharply near ends crack, where break surface bar.
