摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the element displacement principle of p-block chemistry. It explores that elements situated up to four places before a noble gas change their properties by taking 1, 2, 3, or 4 (x) hydrogen atoms so resulting radicals behave as pseudoatoms, which resemble reference in periodic system x groups right them. The obtained this procedure are isoelectronic and isoprotonic with elements; they termed “pseudoelements.” They were also “pseudohalogens,” although neither nor halogens. Incorporating these pseudoelements into system, large differences between chemical physical different periods appreciably alleviated.
