摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter presents an overview of the endogenous and exogenous magnetic resonance (MR) contrast mechanisms utilized in characterizing tumor vasculature. Every mechanism for probing vasculature, including use MR agents, is some way a result changes signal intensity brought about by tissue relaxation times. Noninvasive multinuclear imaging (MRI) spectroscopic (MRSI) provide wealth spatial temporal information on metabolism, physiology. The most commonly used agents (CA) are paramagnetic gadolinium chelates. These tightly bound complexes rare earth element various chelating agents. A simple linear compartment model, describing uptake agent from plasma, postulates negligible reflux interstitium back to blood compartment. Blood concentrations CA can be approximated constant duration experiment, under these conditions, function time. detection cellular targets also elaborated.
