摘要: Evidence from lithology, foraminiferal assemblages, and high-resolution X-ray fluorescence scanning data of core SFK-1 indicates tidally influenced paleo-fluvial sedimentation during the last glacial maximum (LGM) on outer shelf East China Sea. The deposits consist river channel facies estuarine incised-valley-filling facies. Different reflections seismic profile across suggest that channels shifted overlapped. River deposition formed early in LGM when sea level fell estuary extended to shelf. Channel sediments are yellowish-brown color rich foraminifera shell fragments owing strong tidal influence. Following LGM, paleo-river mouth retreated regressive with an erosion base occurred. have clearly different sedimentary characteristics provenances. depositional environment paleoriver system wide was reconstructed CaCO3 content Ca/Ti ratio. main results this study provide further substantial constraints recognition late Quaternary stratigraphy land-sea interactions ECS
