摘要: Insects are the most diverse group of organisms on planet. Variation in gene expression lies at heart this biodiversity and recent advances sequencing technology have spawned a revolution researchers' ability to survey tissue-specific transcriptional complexity across wide range insect taxa. Increasingly, studies using comparative approach (across species, sexes life stages) that examines basis phenotypic diversity within an evolutionary context. In present review, we summarize much research, focusing particular three critical aspects biology: morphological development plasticity; physiological response environment; sexual dimorphism. A common feature is emerging from these investigations concerns dynamic nature transcriptome evolution as indicated by rapid changes overall pattern expression, differential numerous genes with unknown function, incorporation novel, lineage-specific into profile.
