摘要: Background/Aims: Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play important roles in diverse biological processes, such as cell growth, apoptosis and migration. Although downregulation of lncRNA maternally expressed gene 3 (MEG3) has been identified several cancers, little is known about its role prostate cancer progression. The aim this study was to detect MEG3 expression clinical tissues, investigate functions the development underlying mechanism. Methods: levels were detected by qRT-PCR both tumor tissues adjacent non-tumor from 21 patients. effects on PC3 DU145 cells assessed MTT assay, colony formation western blot flow cytometry. Transfected transplanted into nude mice, growth curves determined. Results: decreased significantly relative normal tissues. inhibited intrinsic survival pathway vitro vivo reducing protein Bcl-2, enhancing Bax activating caspase 3. We further demonstrated that cycle regulatory Cyclin D1 induced arrest G0/G1 phase. Conclusions: Our presents an molecular etiology implicates potential application therapy.
