摘要: Abstract Silicone elastomer coatings (SEC) have been of interest for marine application due to their good surface properties. However, they suffer from low mechanical properties and poor adhesion substrate. In this work, the effect TiO 2 content on a SEC, including tensile strength modulus, hardness abrasion resistance were studied. The SEC top layer tie was also investigated results correlated SEC. revealed that inclusion in affects various coatings. extent effect, however, depends loading. Tensile tests, initially, showed relatively rapid increase modulus with content. This then followed by decrease as further increased. pull-off test an increasing up 10 wt.%, beyond which, trend reversed. former is assumed be cohesive coating while later attributed pigment accumulation difficulty its dispersion.
