摘要: Abstract Introduction The purpose of the study was to better understand early risk for positive smoking expectancies, which have been shown be consistent predictors initiation among youth. Two affect-based factors—negative urgency and emotion dysregulation—associated with behaviors youth, were examined unique interactive effects on expectancies substance-naive Methods Participants 61 10–14-year-old children virtually no drug use (less than 5 substance incidents across lifetime), who drawn from community. Results Both negative dysregulation significantly associated social facilitation expectancies. Further, related at higher levels ( b = .09, p = .001). Conclusion findings provide evidence that both are positively social-related a sample 10–14-year-olds. Children emotionally dysregulated act rashly in response emotions appear more likely endorse beliefs regarding socially enhancing smoking, suggesting these youth may high initiation.
