摘要: A process for recovering methane from a coal bed and/or sequestering fluid more strongly adsorbing than (“SAG”) in involves fracturing an injection well and cyclically injecting SAG with intervening shut-in periods. Even though the absolute permeability of decreases continued sorption, injectivity, surprisingly unexpectedly, increases while at pressures greater reservoir pressure, but less fracture pressure or extension pressure. The increased injectivity is thought to be due reduction near-well flow resistance.
