摘要: The α-ketoglutarate carrier from corn shoot mitochondria (Zea mays L., B 73) was solubilized in Triton X-114 and partially purified by chromatography on hydroxyapatite celite the presence of cardiolipin. On SDS-gel electrophoresis, hydroxyapatite/celite eluate showed various protein bands between 12 70 kilodaltons. When reconstituted into liposomes, transport catalyzed a phthalonate-sensitive α-ketoglutarate/α-ketoglutarate exchange. 60-fold with recovery 88% respect to mitochondrial extract. yield 0.6%. properties carrier, i.e. requirement for counter-anion, substrate specificity, inhibitor sensitivity, were similar those system as characterized plant animal mitochondria.
